Our Story

Since 2016, the Gulf Sustainability AwardsTM (GSA™) by Awards International has been a beacon of excellence in the sustainability. Born out of a commitment to recognise, reward, and promote outstanding sustainability initiatives across the Middle East. The remarkable achievements of the past year have further fuelled our dedication to champion and amplify these efforts for a more sustainable future.

Businesses that embrace/invest in sustainability will see success in the coming years, making it more crucial than ever to assess where you stand. Participating in these awards sends a powerful message to your customers, partners, and beyond — it communicates that your organisation is dedicated to creating a more environmentally conscious future.

Over the years, the GSA™ has evolved, bringing together diverse leaders, innovative thinkers, and pioneering companies to share knowledge and build growth. With a unique judging process and a focus on both recognition and development, we continue to champion sustainability efforts as a foundation of every business.

What sets us apart

At the GSA™, we take pride in our robust and transparent judging process, ensuring that every participant is evaluated with fairness and integrity.

Our carefully designed entry and scoring system recognises your achievements in delivering exceptional sustainability, regardless of your company’s size. The process is rigorous yet rewarding, offering unmatched credibility to your accomplishments.
How it works

Two scoring phases

Entries are evaluated through written submissions and live presentations, each scored independently by dedicated judging panels.

Dedicated judges

To ensure quality, each judge spends an average of 10 hours assessing entries, with a maximum of eight entries per judge.

This meticulous approach allows us to provide

Benchmark reports for finalists

Each finalist receives a comprehensive report featuring judges' comments and scores for every entry submitted. This report provides external validation from the judging panel, helping you understand the reasoning behind your results and performance.

Judges feedback & certification

Judges are certified based on the quality of their scoring, feedback, and professionalism. They also receive a feedback report assessing their performance throughout the judging process.

Our process doesn’t just reward excellence—it sets a standard for fairness and fosters growth for all participants.
